Frequently Asked Questions
What methods of payment do you accept? TOP I prefer payment by PayPal, but will also take money orders and cashier's checks. No personal checks at this time, please. Unfortunately, I do not have a merchant account so I cannot accept direct payment by credit card. I can and do accept credit card payments through PayPal.
How will my purchase be shipped? TOP All items are mailed out USPS. You will be given the opportunity to select First Class or Priority at check out.
Where can I buy some of your beads? TOP My beads are only available for purchase though my web page. I
have had a couple stores approach me about selling my beads, but I'm
still mulling it over. So, for now you're "stuck" dealing with
me!
Do you offer a wholesale discount? TOP Not at this time. Unfortunately, with 3 kids and a husband to take care of - my torch time is rather
limited. Not only am I the creator of the beads, but I also serve as the webmaster, photographer, advertising department, book keeper, and the packing/shipping department! I simply cannot afford to charge less when bead-making time is already scarce.
What is your policy on refunds? TOP If you are unhappy with your jenagirlbeads purchase for any reason, you may return it for a refund under the following conditions:
* You must contact me within 3 days of receipt of your order, I do not accept returns made after that time nor will I accept returns made without contacting me in advance. Please e-mail me to obtain authorization before shipping. * Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped. * Shipping fees are non-refundable. * I highly recommend you use postal insurance, as I cannot be held responsible for mishandling by the postal service. * I reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee on returned orders. Oh no! One of my beads broke, now what?! TOP I will happily replace broken beads for up to 6 months after their original purchase. Just e-mail me and let me know you're sending the bead. Once I get it, I'll duplicate it and then pop it back in the mail. You are responsible for paying for postage to mail the broken bead but I'll pick up the cost for mailing the replacement bead back to you!
So, tell me about your business name. What does it mean? TOP First off, it's "jenagirlbeads", all one word and all lowercase letters. Not Jenagirlbeads and especially NOT Jena Girl Beads, please. I realize the "beads" part is self-explanatory, but I will explain the "jenagirl" part. I don't know about you, but I have an inner monologue running all the time and I always address myself as "jena-girl". It just made sense (to me) to have it carry over to my business name.
And in case you were wondering - yes, I'm aware that the men in the white coats carrying nets are my friends. *wink*
You used to advertise lessons, do you still teach? TOP Not at the moment, sorry. I've thought about it, believe me, but the studio I'm working in at the present time doesn't have an adequate ventilation system built in. And while I work carefully to avoid endangering myself, I'm not willing to risk anyone else's health.
My husband has big plans to build a combined studio for us to share sometime next summer (He throws pottery.), and then I'll be able to install a primo vent system, but until then I just can't.
